2b Error message - 'Failed to load snowflake: Meshes BMSnow01.nif' This is a very common error message to get after installing the Bloodmoon expansion. Unfortunately, there is no one solution to it that works for everybody. But it's still a very solvable problem. “Failed to load cursor: Meshes cursor.nif” These can occur depending on your Windows’ user rights and security settings. Exo squad blu ray release. If this happens, you should try deleting the “morrowind.ini” in your game folder, and running the “setup” located in that same folder to generate a new configuration file.

i've just installed Tribunal and Bloodmoon and whenever i try to play now it gives me the message 'Failed to load snowflake: MeshesBM_Snow_01.nif'
I thought at first that it might be because i'd attempted to add some mods and it hadn't worked so i uninstalled everything and just reinstalled Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon and not the mods. But it's still giving me the error message.

Open up the Morrowind.ini file and look for this entry
[Archives]
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
..if it's not there, put it in.
Should be right in front of the long list under the [Weather Snow] header.

Just checked and it's there, also having played with it more, it's only bloodmoon, I never had any issues with our old comp which had windows xp whereas the new comp has windows 7

Check the faq's here, I think I saw something related to running the game as administrator under Win7 or is it Vista? Install in a different directory or have to specify administrator every time you run it, that kind of thing. I'm XP so I don't know because I haven't researched problems with Win7.
My next OS is gonna be Ubuntu, I'm fed up with the [&@%!] Microsoft code problems, tired of having to worry about the next hack Norton or McAfee comes up with in their black ops basements.

i managed to fix the problem with it not allowing to me to add mods in by going into the folder, clicking properties then security and giving myself permission to edit things, also a few other problems have now popped up, the netch leather cuirass (i think) comes up with an error that leaves behind a giant yellow blob with a grey exclamation mark, the same for the dark brotherhood members that attack you when you're asleep except it's all their armor, it's slightly disturbing to be chased by a yellow blob that wants to kill you

Sounds like your Tribunal installation is messed up in some way. You said it's only Bloodmoon now? Both archive entrys have to be there and in that order, if they are, try uninstalling, then reinstalling the trio again. They must be installed in this order:
1)Morrowind
2)Tribunal
3)Bloodmoon
Perhaps your registry is faulty too. I would first run my registry cleaner, CCleaner. If no fixy, uninstall, run cleaner, install the 3, run cleaner, then try the game.

The 'Failed to load snowflake: MeshesBM_Snow_01.nif' message is a classic. Here's some more info on it:
I’m getting a strange error: “Failed to load snowflake: MeshesBM_Snow_01.nif”
You have to copy/paste the following text in your Morrowind.ini file (you can find it in the Morrowind folder), under the [Level Up] section:
[Archives]
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=Flora Glow.bsa
It must look like this.
If this doesn’t work just copy/paste the Data Files folder that you can find on the Bloodmoon CDROM into the Data Files folder of your Morrowind Installation. DO NOT REPLACE OLDER FILES IF ASKED!
